Have you ever wondered why certain colours make you look and feel fabulous, while others seem to drain the life out of your complexion? I have and I'm sure you have too. Have you noticed that some days you could be wearing a blouse of a certain colour and people compliment you more than other days? Well my friend, welcome to a journey of self-discovery through colour!

When I first found out about Color Analysis, I went on a rabbit hole. I spent hours watching Youtube videos, reading articles and browsing through countless of Pinterest photos. The experience was like uncovering a hidden treasure that held the key to confidence and self-assurance. I was thrilled to learn that I could save money and feel fabulous by choosing clothes that truly flattered me. And don't get me wrong, my best colours are not my favourite ones, so at the beginning it was a bit of a shock. But I've embraced them and really see how flattering they look on me and the difference they have made, so I haven't looked back.

Now, I want to share my knowledge with you so you too can feel beautiful, confident, and empowered in your fashion choices. Let's dive into the wonderful world of Color Analysis together, and discover the colours that will bring out the best in you!

What is Color Analysis?

Color analysis is a method used to determine the colours that best complement your skin tone, eye colour, and hair colour. And it's not a new theory, the practice gained popularity in the 1980s when American colour theorist Suzanne Caygill combined colour psychology with seasonal palette theory. The process involves grouping individuals into "seasons" based on their unique combination of these characteristics. Once you've identified your season, you'll have a palette of colours that will make you look and feel your best.

The Four Seasons

The four seasons in colour analysis are Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. Each season has its own unique colour palette and characteristics:

  • Spring: Individuals with warm, light skin tones, and hair that ranges from golden blonde to medium brown. Eye colours are typically blue, green, or hazel.

  • Summer: Individuals with cool, fair skin tones, and hair that ranges from light blonde to dark brown. Eye colours are usually blue, grey, or soft green.

  • Autumn: Individuals with warm, medium to dark skin tones, and hair that ranges from golden blonde to deep brown. Eye colours are often green, brown, or hazel.

  • Winter: Individuals with cool, fair to dark skin tones, and hair that ranges from black to salt-and-pepper. Eye colours are commonly brown, grey, or blue.
